Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients every shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient responses, and progress
• Perform wound care and basic procedures within LPN scope
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and the care team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, meds, and discharge instructions
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alabama
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
• Comfortable working evening/night shift hours (2:45 PM - 11:15 PM)
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach
• Previous experience in acute care or long-term care preferred

Education

• LPN diploma or completion of an accredited practical nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Basic patient assessment and vital sign interpretation
• Wound care and infection control practices
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and charting
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
