Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents
- Perform bedside assessments and monitor patient condition during the shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team and provider
- Assist with procedures, wound care, and routine nursing tasks as needed
- Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the facility EMR
- Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and facility policies
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfort and experience working overnight shifts in a long-term care setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
- Current immunizations and ability to pass facility health screenings
Education
- LPN diploma or vocational nursing program completion; active LPN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic clinical procedures
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Charting and documentation, familiarity with electronic medical records
- Wound care basics and infection control practices
- Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
- Compassionate patient and family communication skills
