Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient conditions with vigilance and clinical judgment
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and promptly
- Provide compassionate patient and family education and support
- Respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively, prioritizing safety
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico licensure expected for local practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) encouraged where relevant
- Clinical experience in acute or post-acute settings is a strong plus
- Comfortable working overnight hours and functioning independently when needed
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work well on a collaborative care team
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough patient assessment and monitoring skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competence
- Skilled in clinical documentation and electronic medical records
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient, family, and team interactions
