Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while following facility protocols
• Perform focused patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the shift
• Document clinical observations and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Escalate changes in patient condition promptly and advocate for patient needs
• Support patient dignity and comfort through compassionate, person-centered care
• Contribute to a safe environment by following infection control and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Immunizations and health screening per facility policy (TB, flu, etc.)
• Comfortable working night shifts and able to reliably cover Tuesday through Thursday evenings
• Local candidate only; must live within commuting distance

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma, certificate, or equivalent practical nursing education

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Basic wound care and infection control practices
• Comfortable with charting in electronic medical records
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize during busy night shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and resident-focused care
