Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
• Perform diagnostic medical radiography and CT procedures within department and other areas as needed
• Assist with CT/interventional procedures, including sterile technique and automatic injector setup
• Administer contrast per protocol and adjust contrast levels by patient age when required
• Maintain accurate patient records, files, and departmental documentation
• Participate in quality assurance programs and perform daily/weekly QC tasks
• Transfer and assess patients safely across the lifespan and adapt protocols for pediatric and geriatric populations
• Rotate shifts, take call when scheduled, and step into supervisory duties in absence of the manager
• Assist with supply inventory, ordering, and general department upkeep

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform diagnostic exams related to assigned modality; CT and X-ray experience preferred
• Willingness to cross-train in other imaging modalities (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography) as directed
• Comfort assisting with interventional procedures and performing venipuncture
• Ability to rotate shifts and respond to on-call notifications within 20 minutes

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency verification within 3 months of hire

• Radiation protection and safety principles
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Interventional radiology assistance and sterile technique
• Tele-radiology transmission and image quality assurance
• Patient assessment, transfer, and age-appropriate care across the lifespan
