Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the Radiology program and supervise radiology staff to ensure safe, high-quality imaging services
• Track incoming radiology studies to ensure they are properly submitted, reported, and followed up
• Provide PACS training and assist staff with transcription or image routing issues
• Develop, maintain, and enforce radiology policies and procedures, including MQSA compliance
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program and perform required lead apron testing
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, inspections, and vendor quotes for imaging equipment
• Work with finance to maintain the radiology chargemaster and identify opportunities for improved revenue capture
• Ensure completion of quality assurance and quality control activities and prepare required reports

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) required
• Registered Mammographer preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Minimum 5 years of radiology management and supervisory experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist; PACS training required; CT and MRI experience preferred

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• ARRT certification (required); Registered Mammographer and Registered Ultrasound Technologist are preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations related to radiology services
• Familiarity with MQSA requirements and digitized imaging workflows
• Experience with PACS systems and PACS training for staff
• Chargemaster maintenance and familiarity with revenue capture processes
• Strong oral and written communication skills and organized documentation practices
• Ability to supervise and evaluate staff, ensure competencies, and build a collaborative team
• Comfort working in multiple computer systems and adapting to new imaging exams
• Skilled in quality assurance/quality control and radiation safety monitoring
