Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions and assistative care under the direction of the supervising PT
• Implement treatment plans focused on improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
• Conduct patient assessments and document progress clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and functional goals
• Maintain equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and support a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a PTA in Montana (state licensure required prior to working independently)
• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Prior experience in inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing settings is a plus

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Relevant certifications (BLS/CPR) required or to be obtained

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and manual techniques
• Comfortable with clinical documentation and common EMR systems
• Strong patient education and motivational coaching abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Good time management and organizational skills for caseload management
