Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop personalized, evidence-based physical therapy plans
• Deliver high-quality hands-on treatment and therapeutic interventions
• Monitor patient progress and update care plans with measurable goals
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and fall prevention
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Document evaluations, treatments and outcomes thoroughly and timely
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive rehab environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (diploma, M.S., or B.S. as stated)
• License to practice in the State of Maine or eligibility to obtain one
• Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Valid Maine driver’s license
• Previous patient care experience preferred and a caring, patient-centered approach

Education

• Diploma, M.S., or B.S. degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, therapeutic exercise and modalities
• Proven ability to assess functional mobility and design progressive treatment plans
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Good documentation and time-management skills
