Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift) - 5x8-hour schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate pediatric patients thoroughly using developmental testing and functional assessments to identify needs
- Develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care that support growth, independence, and participation
- Provide skilled developmental treatment and intervention for diagnoses such as autism and developmental delay
- Perform timely reassessments and revise care plans to reflect patient progress
- Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams for continuity of care
- Document all patient care in Epic accurately and efficiently to support quality outcomes and billing
- Support the outpatient clinic and float into acute care as needed when outpatient census is low
- Educate caregivers and school teams to promote carryover and functional progress at home and in the community
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapy licensure in California (or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical OT experience — enough to be proficient and independent (first-timers accepted)
- Pediatric clinical experience or strong interest in pediatric populations (autism and developmental delays common)
- BLS certification preferred
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical record systems preferred
- Comfort floating into acute care settings when outpatient volume is low
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to family-centered care
Education
- Master’s in Occupational Therapy or Entry-level OTD (or equivalent degree in occupational therapy)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in pediatric evaluation, developmental testing, and treatment planning
- Proficient with plan of care development, reassessments, and discharge planning
- Familiarity with billing/documentation practices for therapy services
- Ability to address activities of daily living and early intervention strategies
- Experience working in acute care, pediatric outpatient, or children’s hospital settings
- Comfortable collaborating with PT, SLP, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
