Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, days (schedule varies) with every-other-weekend requirement; floating between 4th, 5th, and 6th floors as needed (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor PCU/stepdown patients using telemetry and clinical judgment
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips and IV infusions safely and accurately
- Interpret cardiac monitoring strips and act promptly on abnormal findings
- Provide high-quality care for patients with CVA/TIA, STEMI/NSTEMI, ACS, CHF, respiratory failure, DKA, and post-cardiac procedures
- Document thoroughly in EPIC to ensure continuity and clarity of care
- Serve as free charge nurse when assigned, coordinating care and supporting the team
- Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, RT, pharmacy, and the IV team to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond to Rapid Response Team situations and participate in emergency interventions
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active WA RN license or Compact RN license ready to submit
- Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; PCU/Stepdown experience strongly preferred
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac strip interpretation
- Proven IV/infusion/drip management skills including drips listed on unit
- Familiarity with EPIC charting and inpatient acute care workflows
- Comfort working 12-hour day shifts and floating between units
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Management of cardiac medications and titratable drips
- PCU/stepdown nursing principles and high-acuity patient care
- Assessment and stabilization of stroke, ACS, respiratory, and renal patients
- Rapid Response procedures and collaborative team-based problem solving
- Phlebotomy and working with IV/IV team resources
- Experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis) is a plus
- Strong clinical prioritization, communication, and documentation skills in EPIC
