Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor and document resident conditions, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes resident independence
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
- Participate in infection control and safety practices to keep everyone healthy
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (as indicated by Class: GNA)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Comfort and experience working overnight shifts with older adult populations
- Strong interpersonal and observational skills; calm under pressure
- Facility orientation and background checks as required by Genesis - Mid-America & SE Region
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and resident-centered approaches
- Skill in assisting with ADLs (activities of daily living) and mobility support
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control, safety protocols, and documentation best practices
- Good communication skills for collaborating with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary teams
