Shift Type: Rotating night shifts including weekend nights (Friday through Sunday count as weekend nights), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NOC (must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor telemetry patients continuously, responding quickly to changes in cardiac rhythms
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adults on a medical-telemetry unit
- Document accurately in Cerner Patient Observation (CPO) and maintain clear patient records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Serve as a patient advocate, educating patients and families about diagnoses and treatments
- Support unit safety and quality initiatives, including adherence to telemetry monitoring protocols
- Pitch in across sister med-surg units as needed and help maintain smooth patient flow
Qualifications
- Current RN license (state of practice or compact licensure preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (telemetry experience highly preferred)
- BLS certification required
- CMSRN encouraged (preferred but not required)
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience is a plus
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry monitoring skills and experience with remote telemetry systems
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Cerner Patient Observation (CPO)
- Comfortable using VC150s and workstation-on-wheels documentation workflows
- Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced med-surg environment
- Familiarity with med-surg procedures and preparing patients for Endoscopy, IR, and OR
