Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care as a scrub or circulate nurse in a high-acuity OR setting
- Perform infection control practices and lead Universal Protocol (time out) to keep patients safe
- Start and manage peripheral IVs and monitor cardiac rhythms throughout procedures
- Administer and monitor blood and blood products according to policy
- Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity of care and clear communication
- Float within scope to like units when needed to support staffing and patient needs
- Respond to call coverage and weekend responsibilities with professionalism and teamwork
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license (must have license in hand for auto-offer)
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience; Trauma Level II experience required
- Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Comfortable working with robotics (Da Vinci XI, Mazor) and specialty OR equipment (cell saver, Stealth)
- Willingness to float to like units as needed and cover weekends/on-call per assignment
- Candidate permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
Knowledge & Skills
- Scrub and circulate expertise across a broad case mix including thoracic, general, ortho, neuro, ENT, gyn, pediatrics, and trauma
- Infection control, Universal Protocol (time out), specimen handling, and wound management
- Starting peripheral IVs, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring
- Administration and monitoring of blood and blood products
- Charting proficiency in Epic
- Experience with robotics and specialized equipment: Da Vinci XI, Mazor robot, cell saver
