Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy to adults with substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress thoroughly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure client safety
- Lead evidence-based interventions and crisis de-escalation when needed
- Support continuity of care through clear discharge planning and referrals
- Provide psychoeducation and family engagement as appropriate to treatment goals
Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) — newly licensed clinicians encouraged to apply
- Experience or interest in working with adults in substance abuse and correctional settings preferred
- Strong clinical documentation skills and ability to work within facility protocols
- Comfort with interdisciplinary teamwork and following established safety procedures
- Active California license and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Master of Social Work (MSW) required
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required (newly licensed accepted)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Skilled in individual and group therapy facilitation
- Crisis intervention and risk assessment capabilities
- Solid clinical documentation and case management practices
- Culturally responsive care and strong interpersonal communication
