Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (3x12): Days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; schedule rotates and may include weekends—assignments reviewed every 4 weeks (day/night/rotating)
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Float between Oncology Medical-Surgical and PCU units to provide consistent, high-quality care
- Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, IV therapy, blood product administration and line management
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias and respond appropriately with unit-based emergency protocols
- Support respiratory needs including HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP management, tracheostomy care and ABG interpretation
- Assist with pre/post hemodialysis patient management and fluid/renal monitoring
- Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC and manage medications via Pyxis
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, Rapid Response, Social Services) to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain staff and personal safety while working in a locked corrections unit environment
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (able to practice in Ohio)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience within the last 3 years, with at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass
- Epic charting experience required
- BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS are preferred
- Comfortable and professional working in a secured corrections environment and following facility safety protocols
- Experience with medical-surgical/telemetry patient populations and cardiac monitoring
- Ability to float between MS and PCU assignments and work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation
- Proficiency with Epic electronic documentation and Pyxis medication system
- IV therapy skills: IV starts, PICC/central line care, blood product administration
- Respiratory support knowledge: HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation
- Familiarity with heparin protocols, PCA, and safe medication administration
- Feeding tube care and pre/post hemodialysis patient management
- Comfortable participating in rapid response and code team activities
