Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (day) and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night); rotational schedule including every third weekend and holidays as needed (block scheduling, schedule posted 6 weeks in advance)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care for mothers and newborns
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using GE/Corometrics EFM systems and EPIC charting
- Triaging patients in the 3-bay triage area and making collaborative care decisions
- Titrate and manage drips such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and occasional insulin per unit protocols
- Assist and scrub in C-sections and other obstetric procedures when needed
- Collaborate with OB, neonatology, anesthesia, and support staff to ensure safe deliveries
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and discharge planning
- Act as a dependable team member during transfers or floating assignments to NICU, med/surg, PCU, ICU, ED or psych as required
Qualifications
- Current RN license eligible to practice in North Dakota
- Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery (LDRP) nursing experience
- Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP (STABLE preferred)
- Proven EPIC charting experience
- Comfortable titrating drips and responding to obstetric emergencies
- Able to scrub for C-sections and assist in the OR when called upon
- Willingness to work rotational 12-hour shifts and every-third-weekend schedule
- Able to complete unit-specific orientation (2x12hr shifts) and meet facility RTO/radius requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred but not required
- Active RN license in good standing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and AWHONN-guided ratio familiarity
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
- Experience with GE/Corometrics fetal monitoring systems
- Skilled at triage assessment and prioritization in labor and delivery settings
- Medication management for obstetric care including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin and hemorrhage protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including OB, neonatology and anesthesia
- Comfortable using telemetry and placing monitor patches correctly when needed
