Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional mobility and develop individualized treatment plans that get results
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and gait training
• Document patient progress accurately and timely to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to coordinate safe, effective treatment
• Educate patients and families on home programs, fall prevention, and safe mobility strategies
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while promoting independence and quality of life

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Diploma, B.S., or M.S.)
• License to practice in the State of Maine, or eligibility to obtain one
• CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Valid Maine driver's license required
• Previous patient care experience preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program (Diploma, B.S., or M.S.)

• Patient assessment and treatment planning
• Therapeutic exercise and manual therapy techniques
• Gait training and assistive device education
• Clinical documentation and outcome measurement
• Infection control, safety, and mobility assistance
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
