Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures with accuracy and care, using independent judgment when needed
- Maintain and enforce MRI safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Deliver patient-centered care — prepare, position, and support patients through imaging
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance tasks to ensure excellent image standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide coordinated care
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records in accordance with hospital policy
- Assist with equipment maintenance and report any issues to leadership promptly
- Participate in continuing education and departmental quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Graduation from an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology (required)
- ARRT Registry — required
- MRI Registry — required
- CPR certification — required
- Venipuncture certification (can be obtained within 3 months of hire)
- Previous hospital MRI experience — required
- At least 2 recent supervisory references — required
Education
- Graduation from an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in MRI procedures and imaging protocols
- Strong understanding of MRI safety principles and best practices
- Patient care expertise with compassion and clear communication
- Experience with quality control and quality assurance in radiology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Professionalism in documentation and adherence to departmental policies
