Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide mobile X-ray services using portable DR or CR equipment, ensuring clinically diagnostic, technically competent images
• Perform EKGs when required and transmit studies to a Cardiologist for timely interpretation
• Transmit images and reports to Radiologists for interpretation, maintaining quality and timeliness
• Safely load, transport, set up, and break down portable imaging equipment at nursing homes and care facilities
• Scan and manage exam paperwork and billing documents daily according to protocol
• Maintain your vehicle and imaging equipment to ensure reliable, on-time patient care
• Communicate professionally and efficiently with dispatch, facility staff, peers, and supervisors
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and facility-specific policies while delivering compassionate bedside care

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• Active driver’s license required and comfortable driving to multiple facilities
• Proven ability to operate portable digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) equipment
• Comfortable performing EKGs and transmitting studies when requested
• Able to push/pull and handle equipment typically in the 50 to 100 lb range multiple times per day
• Strong professional communication skills and reliable documentation habits
• Comfort with regular interaction with nursing homes, long-term care, and other post-acute settings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent (ARRT eligibility or certification preferred/required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Portable X-ray (DR/CR) operation and image acquisition
• EKG performance and transmission to cardiology
• Image transmission workflows to Radiologists and Cardiologists
• Paperwork scanning and billing documentation best practices
• Vehicle and equipment maintenance basics for mobile imaging
• Clear dispatch and interprofessional communication
