Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with best practices and facility policies
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop timely nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate excellent care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to promote recovery
• Document clinical care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and participating in quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact license with PA eligibility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred depending on unit
• Clinical experience in acute care or related nursing areas is preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
• Current immunizations and health screenings as required by facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or nursing diploma required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and documentation
• Comfort using electronic medical record systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Familiarity with infection control standards and patient safety practices
