Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly by obtaining history, performing systems reviews, and administering targeted tests and measures
• Develop individualized, patient-centered plans of care with clear, functional goals to reduce pain and restore mobility
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and modify treatment plans based on ongoing reassessments
• Initiate and manage discharge planning from the first visit through transition of care
• Document concisely and accurately within department timeframes and accreditation standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team using AIDET principles
• Provide patient and caregiver education to promote safe home function and prevent recurrence
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to ancillary staff and students in accordance with state law and policy
• Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities to elevate care

Qualifications

• 2 years of PTA experience required — hands-on clinical background matters
• Texas license required; compact license accepted
• Current, active license in good standing and ability to practice within state scope
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with accreditation and insurance requirements
• Ability to supervise and collaborate with ancillary staff and students
• Reliable transportation and willingness to float between nearby clinics (approx. 40-minute travel)
