Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform portable X-ray exams using digital (DR) and computed (CR) equipment at bedside across nursing homes and post-acute care facilities
• Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent images and transmit them to radiologists for timely interpretation
• Perform EKG acquisition and transmission to cardiology when ordered
• Safely unload, transport and set up portable imaging equipment at each facility
• Scan and submit exam paperwork and billing documents daily per protocol
• Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, supervisory staff, clinicians and facility staff
• Maintain vehicle and imaging equipment to ensure reliable service delivery

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required) — bring that credential
• Active driver's license (required) — you’ll be on the road
• Experience with portable X-ray, Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Radiography (CR)
• EKG acquisition experience preferred or as applicable
• Ability to safely push/pull and maneuver equipment (50–100 lbs common) throughout the day
• Limited licenses not accepted

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent training
• ARRT credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Portable radiography best practices and bedside imaging techniques
• Digital image acquisition and image transmission workflows
• Patient communication and bedside professionalism
• Dispatch and route communication for efficient scheduling
• Medical documentation and daily scanning of exam paperwork
• Basic vehicle and radiography equipment maintenance
