Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality portable X-ray exams using digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment at nursing homes and other care facilities
• Transmit diagnostic images to radiologists quickly and accurately for timely interpretation
• Perform and transmit EKGs as requested, ensuring clear recordings for cardiology review
• Unload, transport, and safely position portable equipment in facility rooms while maintaining patient comfort and dignity
• Maintain and inspect vehicle and imaging equipment so every exam runs smoothly
• Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily according to protocol
• Communicate efficiently with dispatch, management, peers, and facility staff to coordinate patient care
• Deliver patient-centered care with professionalism and empathy in diverse post-acute settings

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required (must be able to provide documentation)
• Active Driver's License required (must be able to operate company vehicle safely)
• Proven experience with portable digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR)
• Comfortable performing EKGs and transmitting results to cardiology when needed
• Ability to safely push/pull up to 50-100 lbs during equipment setup and patient transfers
• Strong communication skills for interactions with dispatch, management, facility staff, and patients
• Limited licenses are not accepted for this role

Education

• ARRT certification (required)
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in portable X-ray techniques and image acquisition for bedside exams
• Knowledgeable in image transmission systems and timely delivery to radiologists/cardiologists
• Proficient with EKG performance and transmission protocols
• Aptitude for routine equipment maintenance and basic vehicle upkeep
• Detail-oriented documentation and scanning for billing and clinical records
• Comfortable working independently and managing a mobile caseload
