Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform mobile portable X-ray exams using DR and CR systems, producing clinically diagnostic, technically competent images
• Operate portable imaging equipment and safely unload/load gear at facilities and residences
• Perform and transmit EKGs to a Cardiologist when required
• Transmit images and related exam paperwork to radiologists for timely interpretation
• Scan and maintain accurate exam and billing documentation daily per protocol
• Maintain and perform routine checks on vehicle and imaging equipment to ensure reliability
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, management, facility staff, and patients to coordinate smooth visits
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety while delivering high-quality bedside imaging

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required)
• Active Driver's License (required)
• Experience with portable X-ray, digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR)
• EKG competency or willingness to perform EKGs as needed
• Ability to safely push/pull and handle equipment (50–100 lbs on occasion)
• Valid radiologic technologist license (limited licenses not accepted)
• Strong documentation skills and comfort with image transmission systems
• Reliable, professional demeanor and excellent communication skills

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program preferred
• ARRT certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Portable X-ray operation and mobile imaging workflows
• Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Radiography (CR) proficiency
• Patient positioning for diagnostic-quality images in bedside settings
• EKG acquisition and transmission basics
• Image transmission and PACS/tele-radiology workflows
• Equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Safe vehicle operation and loading/unloading of portable equipment
• Professional communication, time management, and documentation skills
