Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic CT exams for patients across the lifespan, from newborns to geriatrics
- Operate the Siemens Somatom 40-slice CT scanner and associated imaging equipment safely and effectively
- Administer IV contrast and manage IV starts with confidence and care
- Position patients accurately and use best practices to ensure image quality and diagnostic value
- Collaborate with physicians and interdepartmental teams to prioritize patient care
- Document procedures clearly in the EMR (HMS Medhost) and maintain accurate patient records
- Follow NH MIRT regulations and facility policies to maintain compliance and safety
- Work independently, take initiative, and escalate concerns when patient care requires it
Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) certification — REQUIRED
- NH MIRT (Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy) license in-hand — REQUIRED
- BLS certification — REQUIRED or willing to obtain
- Minimum 2 years current Imaging/CT/X-Ray experience — REQUIRED
- Proven IV skills and comfort administering contrast
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- Proficiency with imaging systems (MediTech, Philips, Siemens, AGFA DR, OEC C-arm) highly preferred
- Travel experience and a Bachelor degree are nice-to-have, but not mandatory
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related imaging program (or equivalent ARRT-accredited training)
- Bachelor degree in a related field preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- CT scanner operation and troubleshooting (Siemens Somatom 40 slice experience a plus)
- Radiography principles, patient positioning, and exposure optimization
- Image quality assurance and techniques to reduce artifacts
- IV contrast administration and monitoring for adverse reactions
- Familiarity with X-ray systems such as Carestream and AGFA DR
- Experience with EMR documentation in HMS Medhost and workflow integration
- Strong patient communication and compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to collaborate with clinicians and work autonomously when needed
