Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients across adolescent to geriatric populations with confidence and compassion
- Manage ventilators and titrate ventilator settings per protocols to optimize respiratory function
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring and manage arterial lines for accurate patient assessment
- Administer and titrate IV drips and vasoactive medications safely and precisely
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure clear care coordination
- Act as a clinical resource, stepping into charge or preceptor roles when needed to mentor others
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support Level III trauma and complex care needs
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate care when necessary
Qualifications
- Current New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
- Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience
- Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- NIHSS certification (required)
- EPIC experience (required)
- Hands-on experience with arterial lines, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasopressor management
- Reliable transportation (traveler must have own vehicle)
- Charge nurse and/or preceptor experience is a strong plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing fundamentals and ICU workflow
- Ventilator management and troubleshooting
- Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Arterial line setup, sampling, and maintenance
- Safe administration and titration of IV drips and vasopressors
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting
- NIH Stroke Scale assessment skills
- Comfort caring for adolescent through geriatric patient populations and Level III trauma cases
