Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic CT exams for patients across the lifespan, ensuring clear images for accurate diagnoses
- Operate and maintain the Siemens Somatom 40-slice CT scanner and associated imaging equipment
- Provide compassionate patient care, including IV placement and monitoring, with a focus on safety and comfort
- Document procedures and patient data accurately using HMS Medhost EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses and interdepartmental staff to coordinate patient care
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with state and facility regulations
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate to service teams as needed to minimize downtime
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives to keep exams consistent and reliable
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years current Imaging/CT/X-Ray experience (required)
- ARRT (CT)(R) certification — required
- BLS certification — required
- NH MIRT license (Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy) — must be in-hand for New Hampshire practice
- Demonstrated IV skills and the ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- Proficiency or familiarity with MediTech, Phillips, Siemens, AGFA DR and OEC C-arm preferred
- Travel experience and a Bachelor’s degree are nice-to-haves but not required
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field — preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- CT scanning techniques and cross-sectional anatomy
- Radiography fundamentals and image acquisition
- Operation of Siemens Somatom 40-slice scanner and Carestream X-ray systems
- Comfort and proficiency with HMS Medhost EMR
- IV insertion and contrast administration best practices
- Radiation safety, infection control and patient positioning
- Strong communication skills and patient-focused bedside manner
- Familiarity with DICOM workflows and basic image post-processing
