Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with orthopedic, neurological, and complex medical diagnoses to identify impairments and set meaningful, measurable goals
- Design and implement individualized therapeutic exercise programs that improve strength, range of motion, endurance, and overall function
- Apply modalities and manual techniques to manage pain and support recovery
- Develop, document, and revise treatment plans based on patient progress and best available evidence
- Measure outcomes and communicate progress clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety strategies, and self management to promote independence
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care and support transitions across settings
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help bring evidence based practices into daily clinical care
Qualifications
- Current, valid Physical Therapy license issued by the New Hampshire Office of Allied Health Professions
- Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapy program; minimally a Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy, Master degree preferred
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Comfortable evaluating and treating orthopedic, neurological, and complex medical patients in a hospital setting
- Strong clinical documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
- Candidates with PT compact privileges are welcome
Education
- Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited program (minimum requirement)
- Master degree in Physical Therapy preferred

- Patient evaluation and differential assessment
- Therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
- Use of modalities and manual therapy techniques
- Treatment planning and goal setting
- Range of motion, strength, and endurance assessment
- Care of orthopedic, neurological, and complex medical diagnoses
