Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based ICU nursing care for critically ill patients (2:1 ratio)
• Assess patients, monitor vitals and interpret rhythms to guide timely interventions
• Document care accurately using Allscripts Paragon (EMR) for continuity and safety
• Administer injections and vaccinations safely and per protocol
• Float between units (step-down, Med-Surg and ICU) to meet patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively across shifts
• Participate in education, policy updates and continuous improvement efforts
• Provide supervision and direction to other staff when assigned

Qualifications

• Current New Hampshire R.N. license (NH) — Compact license accepted; must be active at time of submission
• ACLS required; BLS (AHA) required; PALS recommended
• One year of medical-surgical nursing experience required; one year related specialty experience preferred
• Telemetry and ICU experience required; rhythm/basic arrhythmia recognition required
• PCCN or CCRN certification preferred
• Ability and willingness to float between units without hesitation
• No new graduates — prior hands-on experience expected
• Ability to learn, adapt and direct others when needed

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Electronic Medical Records — Allscripts Paragon experience a plus
• Strong telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition skills
• Solid patient assessment, clinical judgment and vital sign interpretation
• Skilled in administering injections and vaccinations
• Critical care interventions and medical-surgical cross-coverage competency
• Clear communication, teamwork and basic leadership/supervisory ability
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and changing patient acuity
