Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) studies and capture high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Assess patients across the lifespan and adapt imaging approaches to meet age-specific needs
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and respond to nonverbal cues and psychosocial needs
- Follow established technical standards and protocols to ensure accurate and consistent results
- Collaborate with the EKG/EEG/ECHO team, cardiology, and other care providers to support patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation, image storage, and study logs while adhering to department time blocks
- Participate in continuing education and quality improvement activities to advance practice and patient care
Qualifications
- RDCS required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Current New Hampshire state license required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience performing TTE studies
- Resume required; professional references preferred
- Comfortable working with patients of all ages and knowledgeable about growth and development across the lifespan
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in echocardiography, including TTE and cardiac ultrasound
- Strong patient assessment and communication skills
- Understanding of age-specific therapeutic modification and lifespan development
- Ability to produce diagnostic-quality ultrasound images and troubleshoot equipment
- Familiarity with clinical workflows in a hospital regional referral center
- Team-oriented approach and commitment to patient safety and quality
