Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shift (start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM; consistent schedule to be agreed with Director of Rehab)
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and screen patients with cognitive and ADL-related physical functioning disorders and develop individualized plans of care
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
- Deliver skilled, medically necessary rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercises
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes in the electronic record
- Provide consultation and education to patients, families, caregivers, and other members of the care team
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and ensure regulatory compliance in all documentation
- Accurately record treatment minutes and maintain patient records according to company policy
- Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as needed
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapy license (Missouri required; compact allowed)
- NBCOT familiarity and adherence to AOTA standards and state practice acts
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience required; new graduates are welcome if they have Level II fieldwork (no Level I observation only)
- Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is required
- Comfortable with electronic documentation and accurate recording of treatment minutes
- Ability to obtain necessary DME and supplies per practice requirements
- Demonstrated ability to supervise OT assistants and students and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercises
- Proficient with standardized assessments and outcome evaluation
- Strong patient evaluation and treatment planning skills
- Experience with electronic documentation systems and discharge summaries
- Familiarity with assistive devices, modalities, and DME processes
- Good communication, patient and caregiver education, and team collaboration skills
- Comfort participating in meetings, in-services, and ongoing professional development
