Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ mobility, strength, balance and functional needs to create personalized care plans
- Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve independence and quality of life
- Document patient progress clearly and professionally in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses and rehab team members to coordinate holistic care
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe functional strategies
- Measure outcomes and adjust treatment plans to maximize patient progress
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused culture that prioritizes patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in Missouri or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills with a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Prior outpatient, inpatient or rehab experience is a plus; new graduates are encouraged to apply
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Therapy acceptable with appropriate licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in mobility assessment, therapeutic exercise and manual techniques
- Comfortable with creating and modifying individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with clinical documentation and electronic health record systems
- Ability to educate patients and caregivers in clear, empathetic terms
- Good time management and caseload prioritization skills
- Teamwork mindset and ability to collaborate with diverse clinical staff
