Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients to develop individualized treatment plans that restore function and independence
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise and manual techniques
• Monitor patient progress, update goals, and adjust plans to maximize outcomes
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and rehab team members to coordinate high-quality care
• Educate patients and families on home programs and injury prevention to support long-term recovery
• Accurately document evaluations, treatment notes and discharge summaries in a timely manner
• Contribute to a positive safety culture by following facility policies and infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current or active physical therapy license in Missouri, or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (see Education section)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient or rehab settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to manage full caseload and prioritize patient-centered care

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master of Physical Therapy considered
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and functional mobility training
• Knowledge of documentation standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience with gait training, assistive devices and fall prevention strategies
• Patient and family education techniques to promote adherence and recovery
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and standard outcome measures
