Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered direct care to support activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding while preserving dignity
- Measure and document vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the resident chart and EMR
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment and follow infection control practices
- Participate in care planning and team huddles to improve resident outcomes
- Respond quickly and professionally to resident needs and urgent situations
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — VT or NH authorization noted in posting
- Active healthcare license and ability to provide proof of credentials upon onboarding
- Comfortable working the listed schedule including weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and resident care best practices
- Skilled at taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Proficient in documentation and basic electronic medical record entry
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure
- Awareness of infection control and safety protocols
