Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to help residents thrive
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, promoting independence whenever possible
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs and resident observations
• Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to the nursing team
• Maintain clean, safe, and respectful resident environments
• Support emotional well-being by building trusting relationships and offering comfort
• Document care and interventions thoroughly and timely in the medical record

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required; Pennsylvania certification preferred or eligibility to obtain
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Dependable, compassionate, and a strong team player with good communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED plus completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of patient care fundamentals and infection control practices
• Competence taking and recording vital signs and observing patient status
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills; familiarity with electronic medical records a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with care teams and families
• Good time management, attention to detail, and a patient-centered mindset
