Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduled shifts, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with required call one weekday per month and one weekend per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in open heart, endovascular, and other complex surgeries
Prepare and maintain the sterile operating room environment
Handle surgical instruments and ensure proper sterilization
Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff for smooth procedures
Monitor and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
Support patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures

Qualifications

Active Colorado DORA certification
Current BLS certification
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
Minimum 2 years of experience in CVOR or open heart surgery
Experience with endovascular procedures highly preferred
Ability to float to general OR as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and surgical asepsis
Knowledge of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
Familiarity with robotic surgery and ortho/neuro/spine cases
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environment
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
