Location: Bismarck, ND

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to patients recovering from total joint replacements, spinal surgery, urology procedures, and abdominal surgeries
Manage post-operative care including drains, colostomies, and early ambulation
Administer medications and monitor for complications in a fast-paced MedSurg unit
Collaborate with a close-knit team and participate in bedside shift report
Float to medical and telemetry units as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS certification required
Prefer surgical experience, post-op care, and early ambulation experience
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable with post-surgical drains (JP, Hemovac), PCA pumps, and TPN
Ability to titrate occasional heparin drips under monitoring
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to float between units when needed
