Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions
Monitor and titrate drips such as amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, and other blood pressure medications
Interpret telemetry and respond to changes in patient status
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists
Support the thoracic program, EP lab, cath lab, and structural heart procedures
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience with this patient population
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license to verify 50-mile radius rule
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Skilled in titration of cardiac drips and blood pressure management
Knowledge of cardiovascular diagnoses including CHF, A-fib RVR, and post-surgical care
Comfortable with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula equipment
