End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse Med Surg patient population, including post-surgical cases like total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, and abdominal procedures
Monitor and manage patients on heparin drips, PCA pumps, and TPN as needed
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain a patient ratio of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
Perform bedside shift report to ensure seamless care transitions
Float to medical and telemetry units as required, assisting with telemetry monitoring
Support early ambulation and post-operative recovery for surgical patients

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state (NLC)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience
Surgical and post-operative care experience highly preferred
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Med Surg nursing expertise
Post-operative care and early ambulation techniques
Heparin drip and PCA pump management
Colostomy and JP drain care
Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation (assisted by monitor techs)
