Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for cardiac patients
Administer and titrate cardiac drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, and others
Provide PCU-level care to a mix of medical and cardiac patients
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to manage patient assignments
Assist with procedures like cardiac caths, EP studies, and pacemaker insertions
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with unit policies

Qualifications

Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
At least 1 year of PCU experience required
Experience with telemetry and cardiac drips
Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms independently
Epic EHR experience preferred
Open to first-time travelers

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Knowledge of common cardiac medications and titration
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible and adaptable to floating to other units as needed
