Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients undergoing orthopedic surgeries, including total knee and hip replacements, ankle replacements, and spinal procedures
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications (pain management, antibiotics, blood), and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure safe staffing ratios of 1:5-6
Float to MedSurg, rehab, or PCU as needed, taking MedSurg acuity patients
Participate in team-oriented care, supporting teammates and taking ownership of patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state with ability to obtain Nebraska license)
BLS certification required
Driver's license required to confirm radius rule compliance
Experience in Med Surg or Orthopedic nursing preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Team-oriented, flexible, and willing to learn
