Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including every 3rd weekend and 3 of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Perform advanced procedures including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and multidisciplinary team to manage premature, cardiac, surgical, and ECMO patients
Serve as a resource for high-risk deliveries and transition to stepdown care
Maintain sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols
Document patient assessments and interventions in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Previous travel experience strongly preferred
Must pass a SIMs lab demonstrating competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Comfortable floating to mother-baby and labor care as needed
Ability to work every 3rd weekend and 3 of 6 major holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing
Critical Care Management of Neonates
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certified
Cardiac STABLE certification or ability to obtain
Proficient in Cerner EMR
Competent in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Knowledge of sterile field techniques
