Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Various 12-hour shifts including 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with every other weekend requirement; self-scheduling available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population including oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects
Titrate medications such as heparin and cardizem as needed
Serve as charge nurse with 1+ year of experience
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of PCU and/or oncology experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
Must have a valid driver's license and reside outside 50 miles from facility

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Epic EMR
Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Ability to titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent teamwork and communication
Ability to float to different units and adapt quickly
