Sonographer - General/OBGYN/Vascular

Location: Durango, CO

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable days, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM). Includes call 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound examinations
Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures including drains and biopsies
Operate and maintain Phillips ultrasound equipment with precision
Utilize EPIC and Fuji PACS for efficient image documentation and archiving
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure accurate diagnoses
Provide compassionate patient care and explain procedures to patients

Qualifications

Active ARDMS certification (RDMS in General or OBGYN required, RVT preferred)
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in general and OBGYN ultrasound
Proficiency with Phillips ultrasound systems
Experience with EPIC EMR and Fuji PACS is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sonographic anatomy and pathology
Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Procedural skills including drainages and biopsies
Flexibility to adapt to varying shift schedules and call requirements
