Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Flexible block scheduling, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct thorough evaluations for acute medical, surgical, and orthopedic inpatients
Facilitate early mobilization to improve patient outcomes
Determine mobility status and assess safety for discharge to home or rehabilitation unit
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
Cover Medical/Surgical, Intermediate Care, and ICU patient populations
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly

Qualifications

Current Colorado Occupational Therapy license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care setting
Experience with Cerebrovascular Accidents (CVA), neuropathy, and general weakness preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in evaluation and treatment of acute inpatient conditions
Expertise in early mobilization and discharge planning
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in using electronic health records
