Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, titrating drips like Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Manage patients with conditions including cardiac issues, nephrology, strokes, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work every other weekend and every third holiday

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Proficiency in titrating intravenous medications
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Adaptability to a fast-changing environment
