Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret EKGs for dysrhythmias
Provide specialized care for neuro patients including post-surgical, post-crani, spine, and CVA patients
Maintain sterile field during procedures
Collaborate with charge nurse and clinical supervisor
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Educate patients and families on neuro conditions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent neuro or telemetry nursing experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
Proficiency in sterile technique

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia monitoring
Neuro nursing assessment and interventions
Centralized telemetry monitoring
Knowledge of sterile field and aseptic technique
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
