Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-13-2026

End Date: 09-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM and rotating weekend call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying
Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
Operate GE gamma cameras and related equipment
Maintain accurate patient records and manage image archiving using Radnet and Merge Unity
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize patient care
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine
Proficiency in cardiac and SPECT imaging
Ability to start IVs? Not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in nuclear medicine imaging techniques and protocols
Familiarity with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS/EMR systems
GE gamma camera operation
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to handle on-call rotations
