Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures using GE Discovery 630 Dual Head and PET 8 scanners
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and monitor for adverse reactions
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process
• Operate Epic and McKesson systems for patient data management and image archiving
• Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols and use provided radiation badge
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to provide high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper equipment maintenance
• Float to other imaging areas if you hold additional certifications (XR, CT, MRI) for added variety

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification required
• ARRT (NM) or CNMT certification required
• Valid driver's license to verify distance from facility
• Willingness to comply with facility's fingernail policy (no artificial nails in patient care areas)
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
• Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn and work as part of a collaborative team
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to varying workloads

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in nuclear medicine imaging procedures and protocols
• Proficiency with GE Discovery 630 Dual Head and PET 8 scanners
• Experience with Epic and McKesson PACS and EMR systems
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Excellent patient communication and care skills
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve common issues
• Time management and organizational skills to handle patient flow
