Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, includes every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse PCU patient population including cardiac, renal, stroke, sepsis, and post-surgical cases
Monitor and titrate IV drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin, and interpret telemetry strips independently
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a positive patient experience focused on responsiveness and clear communication
Perform accurate assessments, manage arterial lines, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to care for PCU-acuity patients

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with arterial lines preferred
Must be flexible, adaptable, and a team player with strong communication skills
Willingness to work with diverse cultural populations, including Hispanic and Somalian communities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Competent in titrating cardiac drips and managing high-flow oxygen
Skilled in using vein finders, bladder scanners, and overhead lifts
Ability to provide patient education on medications and care plans
Strong focus on patient experience and quality outcomes
